We stayed in one of the cabins. They are a basic room with 1 x bunk bed, 1 x double bed and 1 x single bed. There is a small table with three stools to sit on. Odd that 5 x beds and 3 x stools! There was a small fridge, an oil finned type electric heater as well as an electric kettle. There is only one power point in the room. There was a supplied multi plug power box. We found that there was an outside tap at the end of our block of cabins for water for coffee /hot drinks etc. There was to very comfortable Cape Cod style chairs outside each unit. If you want a good shower go to the portacom shower block. It has mains water pressure. The main shower block is gravity fed and the water only sort of trickles out. Not what we wanted after a hard day at work and just wanted a hot shower. Kitchen facilities were fine with plenty of cooking/preparation space. There is also plenty of eating space with a long dining table in the kitchen. We were in the area working so was using the place a base for lunch/dinner and somewhere to sleep. I would have no problem staying here again and probably will when next working in Hawea.

We stayed in the safari tent and it was such an enjoyable experience, we will be back as a group and I'll be back with my family next time we're down south. The facilities were great, cooking on the bbq looking across the lake was stunning and having own private access to the shore made us feel super lucky. The bunk was a cool feature, my son is going to love it! The beds and bedding were super comfy. I like that if the weather isn't too good outside there's plenty of space to relax, play boardgames inside. The portaloo was clean and fresh, maybe a solar light could be out there and a camp light inside. The food truck and live music hang out was cool! All in all it was a fantastic stay, we wished we had booked for longer!

Friendly space, children and adults were all enjoying themselves. Had a cabin to myself as a solo traveller, 4 beds in it (one was a bunk bed), great for families. Cabin was clean and comfortable; had a mini-fridge, kettle as well as a square dining table with some chairs. Clean and spacious. There's a food truck open for lunch and dinner, wide menu options. It is a campsite, but common facilities like kitchen, showers and toilets were all clean. Laundry room looked like it was in hot demand, so do plan well if you intend to use. No problem parking with cars or trailers or campervans. Wifi is free for 30 mins each day. Didn't expect it but after it got dark, you could see the entire night sky with all the stars 🤩

Loved the bell tent. We arrived later in the evening and so the staff had already put the heater on in our glamp tent, so thoughtful. It was warm when we arrived, and the powered plugs were so good to charge our phones, and keep our electric blankets on, as was a cold night ahead. The outside kitchen was 20m from our tent and had a fridge, kettle, toaster and tea/coffee/sugar. Sun rise on the lake was epic and we loved the private beach like setting for the evening too. Beautoful bird sounds awoke me in the morning - such a greata experience and I will be back to try the mini lakehome. Thank you for a great stay.

It’s a nice campground and thought the accommodation would be overlooking the lake. It’s in the middle of the campground. Check in was easy as we checked in after hours and they had instructions. It does have a food truck and amenities. Very simple. Kitchen building was ok, nothing crazy. Beds were comfy, but very low bunks and no ladder for top bunk so had to use stool or be very flexible. The price was cheap, but I think I’d rather camp closer to Wanaka next time and stay in a tent.
